At the Moscow airport law enforcement agencies detained a man who stole 19.5 million rubles from a car and tried to leave the country. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on January 31.
It is specified that the theft of money was reported by the victim himself. He said that he noticed a flat tire on his car and stopped at a gas station to replace it. At that moment a stranger came up to him and offered help. While they were installing the spare tire, the intruder stole a bag with money from the car.
"The investigator of the police department opened a criminal case under part 4 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The figurant is placed in custody. The investigation continues," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
It is also noted that at the arrest of the suspect did not have a bag with stolen money.
Earlier, December 31, 2024, in Ingushetia, Interior Ministry officers detained a man who stole 396 thousand rubles, intended for the operation of a child with cancer. Of Br396 thousand, only Br125 thousand was recovered. The rest of the funds - Br271 thousand - he spent in restaurants. It is noted that the attacker had previously been convicted under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft of other people's property"). A criminal case has been opened over the theft.
