Britain says Europe may end European support for Ukraine

The leaders of the European Union (EU) countries may refuse to support Ukraine due to internal disagreements. This was reported by the British magazine The New Statesman on January 29.
"In the end, they may do exactly what they have been promising for the past three years, which they will never do, namely, abandon Ukraine to its fate," the article says.
According to the publication, the EU countries after US President Donald Trump takes office will have to recognize that without US support they will have little chance to do about the Ukrainian conflict.
Earlier, on January 30, the edition "Strana.ua" reported that Trump will have to simply "forget" about Ukraine if he refuses to support Kiev and organize negotiations. The media outlet noted that such a path of events would be a "dangerous situation" for Ukraine, as the European Union (EU) is unable to support the country.
A day earlier, The Guardian newspaper quoted a source as saying that Ukraine was shocked by the Trump administration's decision to suspend all foreign aid programs. It was specified that due to the suspension of US funding, Ukraine had to suspend a number of "critically important" projects, such as programs for the rehabilitation of military veterans.
Western countries stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which started on February 24, 2022, due to the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of Ukrainian shelling.
