Captured AFU militant told about being sent to the front with health problems

A captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleh Danilov, has said that he was forcibly mobilized despite his health problems. A video of his story was provided by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 31.
"I was not going to go, I am not subject to military duty. I had a military ticket. If at the age of 18 I was not fit for military service, well, I mean for compulsory service, how can I be fit for military service, excuse me, at the age of 48? [I have] flat feet, eyesight, stomach ulcer," Danilov said.
According to the man, he was caught and put on a bus by employees of the territorial manning center (TKC, the equivalent of a military enlistment office) while he was on his way to work.
Danilov was wounded at the position, but no one in his group could provide him with medical assistance. The captured AFU fighter said that Russian doctors had treated him. He expressed gratitude to them for his rescue.
Earlier, on January 24, captured AFU serviceman Alexander Svechkin said that he was mobilized after passing a medical examination despite problems with his eyesight and legs. According to him, they were not even given the results of the medical check-up.
Before that, on January 22, a captured AFU fighter Yevhen Hnibeda said that Ukrainians were mobilized to the front by all possible means, although none of the men wanted to participate in hostilities. According to him, he has already served in the conflict zone and was sent home. However, they "came again, took him away and that's it".
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
