Bezymyannyi volcano has become active in Kamchatka. This was reported on January 31 by the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Kamchatka region in Telegram-channel.
"There is an increase in seismic activity and the temperature of the thermal anomaly in the growing dome. In this regard, the probability of a strong explosive eruption in the next 30 days is increased," - stated in the message.
It is specified that possible ash emissions up to 8 thousand meters above sea level. In addition, possible ash fallout in the settlements of Ust-Kamchatsky, Bystrinsky and Milkovsky districts.
The agency added that people should not visit the vicinity of the volcano within a radius of at least 10 km.
Earlier, on December 23, 2024, it was reported that one of the most active volcanoes in the world - Kilauea - began its next eruption. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory noted that the eruption began at 2:00 (15:00 Moscow time) on December 23. As a result of what happened, the danger level in the closed area of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was raised to the highest level.
