Traditional Chinese "Dragon Dance" will be shown on Tverskoy Boulevard


On Tverskoi Boulevard within the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow" will be held demonstrations of the traditional Chinese "Dragon Dance" in honor of the Chinese New Year. This was reported on the mos.ru portal on January 31.
"To plunge into the world of Chinese traditions will allow a theatrical immersive performance "Dragon Dance", which will be held on the section of Tverskoy Boulevard from the monument to K.A. Timiryazev to the restaurant "Armenia", - stated in the portal material.
It is specified that the celebration on Tverskoy Boulevard takes place twice a week. February 1 and 8 "Dragon Dance" will be available at 17:00, and February 2 and 9 at 16:00.
Also in the days of celebration near the monument to the poet Sergei Yesenin for all comers will be shown drum shows "Imperial Lanterns", "Chenglan", and "Dragon Warriors". They will feature a large Chinese dragon, which is a symbol of strength and prosperity, as well as northern and southern lions.
Earlier, January 30, it was reported that the Chinese New Year in the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow" on February 1 and 2 will celebrate a special holiday program in the film park "Moskino".
Chinese New Year traditionally comes in the middle of winter. The date of the holiday changes, as well as its symbol - the zodiacal animal, under the patronage of which the year passes.
Russians celebrate the Chinese New Year with pleasure. Last year, the celebration was held in the Russian capital with great fanfare. It was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
