China reported two dead Chinese nationals in US plane crash

As a result of a plane crash in Washington, two Chinese citizens were killed. This was reported by Xinhua news agency on January 31 with reference to the Chinese embassy in the United States.

"According to preliminary information, two Chinese citizens are now victims of a plane crash at Reagan National Airport in Washington," the publication said.

It is specified that the Chinese embassy appealed to the American side with a demand to soon verify this information so that the PRC could provide all the necessary assistance to the families of the victims.

On the night of January 30, a passenger plane American Airlines and a military helicopter Black Hawk collided near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, after the accident they fell into the Potomac River. Later, CNN reported that one of the flight recorders (black boxes) of the crashed passenger plane was recovered from the Potomac River near Washington. ABC News, citing a source familiar with the situation, reported that both flight recorders - voice and parametric - of the passenger plane had been found.
