Media reported the origin of white balls on the coast of Finland

White balls, which were thrown on the shore of the Finnish peninsula Hanko, got there from the washing water of a cargo ship of the oil refining company Neste. This was reported in the press service of the company on January 30.
"Probably, white pellets, found off the coast of Hanko, were formed from the washing waters of the vessel, carrying cargo for the company Neste," - quotes the statement of the press service portal MTV Uniset.
It is specified that the balls consisted of vegetable oil and animal fat. According to the portal, the ship's crew did not have instructions on how to properly drain the wash water.
The company's press service also added that Neste will take all the blame for the incident and will compensate for all the damage caused.
Earlier, on January 28, MTV Uniset portal reported that a white substance of unknown origin was found on the beaches of the Finnish peninsula Hanko. It is specified that the unknown substance of white color was found between the central area of Hanko and Tverminne. The beaches were covered with white substance for 20 km.
