A Izvestiya film crew was hit by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the village of Plekhovo in the Kursk Region. "Izvestia" showed footage from the scene.
An enemy FPV drone flew into the roof of a house where journalists and Russian Armed Forces (AFU) marines were staying in the early morning and punched through it.
"Now an FPV flew into the roof of the house, punched through it. There's a hole. It's all in the dust right now. The marines continue to work," noted Izvestia correspondent Vladislav Kharchenko.
As a result of the Ukrainian army attack, no one was injured, the film crew and Russian servicemen are fine.
"We have a position, they burned it with FPV guns. Our guys, thank God, were not hurt. Everyone is alive, unharmed, healthy. [The AFU militants] are burning houses. They find the slightest movement somewhere, and that's it, they burn the house down," said a UAV operator of the reconnaissance and landing company of the 177th Marine Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign Hera.
Earlier, on January 16, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the silence of specialized international structures about Kiev's crimes against Russian citizens indicative. The Russian Investigative Committee said that Eremin died as a result of a targeted attack by the AFU. The agency intends to identify all those involved in the journalist's death.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
