Peskov said there was no conversation between Putin and Trump


Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 31 that there were still no contacts between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Earlier, on January 30, Trump declined to comment on a possible conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He did not respond to a question about when he last contacted the Russian leader, nor did he answer a question about whether the Chinese leader had responded to a request for help in resolving the crisis at the U.S. border.
On the night of January 30, an American Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk military helicopter collided near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. After the crash, they fell into the Potomac River. A total of 60 passengers and four crew members were aboard the plane. There were three military personnel in the helicopter. NBC News reported that the bodies of more than 30 dead people have been recovered from the water.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there were Russian citizens on the plane that crashed in Washington. Peskov said Russian figure skaters were on board the passenger plane. He expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of those who died in the plane crash.
Also on this day, Trump said the United States is already in contact with Russia on the victims of the collision between a military helicopter and a passenger plane in Washington. According to him, there were no contacts between him and the Russian president on this topic.
