New gas boilers will be built in seven districts of the Sakhalin Oblast

In 2025, the Sakhalin Oblast will continue transforming existing coal-fired boiler houses into gas-fired ones, as well as building new gas-fired utility infrastructure facilities. This is reported by IA SakhalinMedia with reference to the press service of the regional government.
Renovation and construction will take place in seven districts of the region, but the largest amount of work is planned in Poronaisky district. Here the central boiler house will be modernized, and new facilities will be built in the villages of Gastello and Leonidovo, and boiler house No. 5 in Poronaisk itself. In the Tymovsky District, gas-fired boiler houses will be built in the villages of Voskhod, Voskresenovka, Molodezhnoye and in Tymovsky.
In addition, gas-fueled boilers will be built in the villages of Sovetskoye and Uglezavodsk in Dolinsk District, in the village of Mikhailovka in Alexandrovsk-Sakhalinsk District, in the village of Ozerskoye in Korsakov District, and in Korsakov itself. Another four will be erected in Aniva District - two in Aniva and in the villages of Taranai and Troitskoye.
"In the future, as gas distribution pipelines are built, the boilers in Kholmsky, Smirnykhovsky, Tomarinsky, Nevelsky districts will also be transferred to blue fuel," said Natalia Kuprina, Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the island region.
According to the news agency, in 2024, the most active work on the construction of modern boiler houses was carried out in Dolinsk and Korsakov districts.
