On January 31, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of special military operation (SMO).

According to the ministry, Boris Moiseyev, the driver of the BARS-32 detachment, was carrying out the task of bringing ammunition to the area of combat operations in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of the detachment's soldiers on the front lines.

During the night Moiseyev was carrying cargo for the soldiers. Upon arrival at the site, while unloading the vehicle, the fighter and his comrades were attacked by FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result of the enemy attack, the driver and his assistants received gunshot wounds. Moiseyev, having rendered first aid to himself, was able to carry the wounded serviceman out from under fire, render him first aid and take him to the medical center. Thus, the driver saved his comrade's life, and the servicemen received the necessary supplies in a timely manner.

In addition, the Defense Ministry noted that a multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle under the command of Private Roman Bykov was carrying out a combat mission to support Russian units in one of the important tactical directions.

The calculation received precise coordinates of the location of AFU fighters. Bykov assessed the situation, brought the vehicle to a combat position, aimed at the target and fired a volley, as a result of which it was possible to destroy the reserve units of the Ukrainian fighters and force the enemy to retreat.

Thanks to Bykov's skillful and competent actions, the Russian units managed to take advantage of the advantageous positions and gain a foothold on them.

Earlier, on January 30, the Defense Ministry reported that the calculations of D-30 howitzers of the artillery unit of the artillery unit of the "North" group of troops destroyed platoon strongholds with AFU fighters in the area of the special operation.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
