Media advised Trump to forget about Ukraine if he refuses to support talks

US President Donald Trump will have to simply "forget" about Ukraine if he refuses to support Kiev and organize negotiations. The Ukrainian daily Strana.ua came to this conclusion on 30 January.
The media outlet notes that such a way of development would be a "dangerous situation" for Ukraine, as the European Union (EU) is unable to support the country.
Journalists believe that Washington's decision to suspend aid to Ukraine and the lack of data on the preparation of new aid packages by the US Congress is already a harbinger of a possible refusal of further involvement of the White House in the current situation.
"This indicates the likelihood that Trump, convinced of the complexity of the task of completing <conflict>, may choose the "third way" - to "wash his hands" and "forget" about Ukraine. That is, to stop making any attempts to organize negotiations on a ceasefire, but at the same time, sanctions on Russia will not be lifted, and aid to Ukraine will not be resumed or continued," - stated in the Telegram channel of the media.
Earlier on 30 January, Oleksandr Dudchak, a member of the international public movement "The Other Ukraine" and a PhD in economics, said in a conversation with Izvestiya that the USA supported Ukrainian foundations and organizations to reform state structures, mass media and public opinion. Now there is no need for this because Washington's goals have been achieved.
The day before, The Guardian newspaper quoted a source as saying that Ukraine was shocked by the Trump administration's decision to suspend all foreign aid programs. It was specified that due to the suspension of US funding, Ukraine had to suspend a number of "critically important" projects, such as programs for the rehabilitation of military veterans.
In addition, on 25 January, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) froze programs to support foreign countries, including Ukraine. As the Associated Press agency noted, Ukrainian officials funded by the US State Department may lose money under the freeze.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which began on February 24, 2022, due to the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of Ukrainian shelling.
