The Investigative Committee has opened a case over the death of a child in a fire in Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, a criminal case has been opened over the death of a five-year-old girl in a fire in a dormitory. This is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Khabarovsk Territory and EAD.

The fire occurred the day before, January 29, in an apartment on the third floor of the hostel on Progressive Street. As it turned out, the five-year-old girl at the time of the incident was at home alone, her mother was at work.

IA AmurMedia writes that the child tried to save the neighbors who rushed to open the front door, but the little girl died. Arriving rescuers entered the apartment through the window. Inside burned household items and a sofa, the area of fire was 2 square meters. m.

On the fact of death of the preschool girl a criminal case under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence" was initiated. All circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
