Russians told about important factors when choosing an apartment

When buying housing in new buildings in 2025, Muscovites will primarily focus on three parameters: the improvement of the adjacent territory, the layout of the apartment and the safety of common areas. This is reported in the study of the company "Airplane", which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 31.
According to the research, Muscovites have started to pay more and more attention to landscaping when choosing a residential complex. Thus, 39% of respondents want to see a landscaped area in their residential complex (in 2021 there were 31% of such respondents), and among the elements of landscaping the most popular are convenient walkways (57% now vs. 39% earlier) and additional landscaping (55% now vs. 44% earlier).
In addition, buyers have developed a strong demand for gardens and informal spaces for socializing and relaxing near their homes (37% now vs. 18% previously).
"Among the selection criteria, the trend towards an improved quality of life is increasing. Last year, for example, green areas and pedestrian paths on the territory of the residential complex became important purchase incentives," said Maya Dzherieva, Head of Customer and Product Research at Samolet Group.
According to her, there is a noticeable growth of interest in the organization of various creative spaces for communication - this also shows the interest of future residents in the development of social ties: knowledge and communication with their neighbors provide a person with a sense of security and comfort.
When choosing an apartment, future residents are also interested in its layout - 35% of respondents pointed this out. For comparison, four years ago only 13% of buyers were concerned about this issue. In terms of layout, the most popular options remain a balcony or loggia (42% now vs. 37% previously), as well as a walk-in closet (24% now vs. 10% previously). At the same time, the demand for a large kitchen-living room has fallen slightly, but remains high - 40% now vs. 44% previously.
Earlier, on January 11, the head of analytics and consulting department of the company "NDV Supermarket Real Estate" Elena Chegodayeva told "Izvestia" about the districts of the Moscow region with the most inexpensive new buildings. According to her, the most affordable housing in the Moscow region can be found in Serpukhov, Voskresensk and Elektrogorsk, where the average price starts from 100 thousand rubles per 1 sq. m.
