Ex-Fonbet head Anokhin pleads guilty to bribery charges

The lawyer of the ex-general director of the bookmaker company "Fonbet," Sergey Anokhin, said at the hearing on January 30 that his client pleaded guilty and gave "detailed testimony on other defendants in the case, cooperating with the investigation. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom.

On this basis, the defense counsel asked the judge not to send Anokhin to a pre-trial detention center, but to choose a ban on certain actions.

At the trial it turned out that Anokhin has Mexican citizenship, as well as a residence permit for Montenegro. In addition, during the meeting Anokhin stated that he is the current CEO of "Fonbet".
