A man shot his girlfriend with an "unloaded" shotgun in the Arkhangelsk region


A resident of the Arkhangelsk region shot his girlfriend with a pneumatic weapon, believing that it was not loaded, as a result of which the woman died. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) of the region on January 30.
It is specified that the incident occurred on January 25 in the town of Koryazhma. At the time of the incident, the man, was in an inebriated state.
"On January 29, 2025 in a hospital in the regional center, despite timely medical assistance, the victim died as a result of a head injury, not coming out of a coma", - stated in the message of the Department in Telegram-channel.
A criminal case under part 1 of article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence") was initiated on the fact of the incident.
Earlier, on January 8, in the Kirov region, a local resident during hunting mistook his acquaintance for a beast and accidentally shot him. The suspect noticed a shadow at a distance of about 100 meters and, believing it to be a wild animal, fired a shot from a rifled hunting rifle. As a result of the incident, the victim died. A criminal case has been opened.
