FPV drone destroyed an AFU vehicle in Sumy region
The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have destroyed a vehicle of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) using an FPV drone in Sumy Region. The Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the combat operation on January 30.
Military special purpose units of the North group of troops in the special operation zone (SOZ) in a forest belt in Sumy region identified a camouflaged enemy vehicle with the help of a reconnaissance drone.
"The detected target by direct hit was promptly destroyed by the FPV-drone calculation on the fiber optic fiber of the grouping of troops "North"," - said in the message of the Department.
The footage shows an accurate hit on the car of the AFU fighters.
Earlier in the day, the calculations of FPV-drones of the group of troops "West" destroyed a tank T-72M1 belonging to the AFU in the special operation zone. The military transferred information about the enemy's equipment to the command post, and after analyzing the information it was decided to strike the tank. Russian scouts made a stealthy march from the rear to the front line, and then FPV drone operators, choosing the right moment, attacked the tank.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
