Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are starting to spread from Ukraine to European countries. The Daily Express (DE) reported on January 30.

"During the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, a new terrible enemy is wreaking havoc - drug-resistant superbacteria," the publication said.

According to the publication, because of the serious injuries of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), they are sent to European hospitals, where they can spread dangerous bacteria. However, medics face difficulties in treatment due to the resistance of these infections to the strongest antibiotics.

Earlier, on January 6, the president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Infectious Diseases, Professor Olga Golubovska, said that 13 cases of human metapneumovirus had been recorded in Ukraine. However, she noted that the real number of cases could be much higher.
