A resident of Moscow found a plastic bag containing 1 million rubles in an elevated crosswalk near Rublevskoye highway and handed it over to the police, a source of "Izvestiya" reported on January 30.
It is noted that the man works as an assistant to the head of the accounting department of the Military Commissariat (Military Commissariat) of the capital.
He reported about the discovery of cash to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Krylatskoe district, where a statement was drawn up. After that, he voluntarily surrendered the money to a police officer. An inspection has been initiated in accordance with Articles 144-145 of the RF Criminal Procedural Code ("Decisions taken as a result of consideration of a crime report").
Earlier, on December 27, 2024, in Turkey, Kadir Terlikli, a carpenter from the town of Nurdağı, found 12 gold coins hidden there by the previous owner in a kitchen cupboard he had bought, after which he returned them to the owner. According to city officials, the mayor of Nurdaghi presented Terlikli with a certificate of appreciation for his deed.
