Serbian authorities will extradite Ara Baghdasaryan, accused of organizing illegal migration, to Russia at the request of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office. This was reported on January 30 on the website of the Russian agency.

According to the version of the investigation, the man with a group of persons until 2021 organized illegal migration of foreigners through Russia, including he facilitated the migration of Indian citizens to Mexico by illegal passage through the territory of the Russian Federation.

"Baghdasaryan fled from law enforcement agencies. On the instructions of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, he was put on an international wanted list in July 2024. The request for extradition was sent in connection with his detention in October 2024 on the territory of Serbia", - specified in the department.

Joint actions of law enforcers in Serbia and Russia managed to achieve a positive decision on the extradition of the offender. He will be taken to Moscow, accompanied by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the NCB Interpol.

In October 2024, a criminal mastermind nicknamed Vasya Bandit (real name Igor Kokunov), who was on the international wanted list, was extradited to Russia from Albania.
