Two strange potholes appeared on the Gorbaty Bridge in Lipetsk

The Humpy Bridge in Lipetsk, which was repaired in November 2024, has been damaged again. Two holes of strange rectangular shape appeared on the asphalt, GOROD48 reported on Thursday, January 30.

As explained in the mayor's office, the holes were formed at the place of the expansion joint - an element necessary for the movement of the bridge's structures when the air temperature changes. All works on the reconstruction of the bridge were carried out according to the project.

Now the city construction department is finding out the reasons for the appearance of irregularities. The contractor - Uvarovskaya PMK-22 - has already carried out preparatory work to repair the pavement and tonight will bring it into proper shape,

The Humpback Bridge was built in 1948. Repair of the structure with a length of 9.6 meters and a width of 35.8 meters cost the city budget 96.4 million rubles. During the works, the emergency facility was completely demolished and built anew.

Earlier it was reported that on the Gorbaty bridge installed part of the new cast-iron grating. It depicts the drawing "Yauza", the same as on the fences on the bridges in Moscow.
