The distance of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) at some sites in the special military operation (SMO) zone to the border with Dnipropetrovsk Region is less than 3 km. This was reported on January 30 by the adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Igor Kimakovsky.

"Already in some areas it is less than 3 kilometers. <...> We are advancing in that direction," he said on the air of Channel One.

Kimakovsky noted that the Russian army is also covering the town of Krasnoarmeysk to reach the north.

Earlier in the day, FPV drone calculations of the "West" group of troops destroyed a T-72M1 tank belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special operation zone. The military transmitted information about the enemy's equipment to the command post, and after analyzing the information, it was decided to strike the tank. Russian scouts made a stealthy march from the rear to the front line, and then FPV drone operators, choosing the right moment, attacked the AFU tank.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
