Moscow has allocated grants for scientific research

The Russian Science Foundation will become the recipient of Moscow's grant for fundamental and prospecting research. The corresponding decree was signed by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, according to the message on the mos.ru portal.

The Fund finances scientific and scientific-technical programs, as well as projects in the field of fundamental research. The purpose of these works is to obtain new knowledge about the regularities of the structure, functioning and development of man, society and the environment. The Fund was established on the initiative of the Russian President at the end of 2013, and over the 10 years of its work, projects worth 220 billion rubles have been financed.

The funds allocated by Moscow will be used to finance the projects of Moscow researchers - winners of the Russian Science Foundation competitions of the last and current year.

Among the 2024 winners is the project "Study of DNA break repair features in translocations associated with acute leukemia", which is being implemented by Nikolai Lomov from Lomonosov Moscow State University. The grant funds will also be used, in particular, for the projects of Tatiana Bogush from the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center for Oncology ("Molecular Diagnostics of Metastatic Activity and Aggressiveness of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Based on Quantitative Assessment of TUBB3 Protein in Tumors") and Igor Agapov from the V.I. Shumakov National Medical Research Center for Transplantology and Artificial Organs ("Study of Peculiarities of Three-Dimensional Nanostructure of Myocytes and Cardiomyocytes").
