A group supplying weapons from the U.S. to Russia was detained in Kyrgyzstan

Employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan have stopped the activities of a transnational criminal group that supplied more than 300 firearms and ammunition from the United States to Russia. This was reported by the TASS news agency on January 30, citing the press center of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"The GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic has revealed and suppressed the criminal activity of a transnational group that has established a stable channel of illegal trafficking, as well as smuggling of firearms, ammunition and military uniforms along the route of the United States - Kyrgyzstan - Russia," the agency reported.
As follows from the report, from April 2022 to the present time citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Russia and the United States organized an international channel for the illegal transportation and sale of unaccounted-for Glock, CZ, SIG SAUER pistols, AR-15, SIG SAUER assault rifles, Benneli shotguns, as well as ammunition for them.
The weapons were purchased in the U.S., and under the guise of various video equipment were transferred to Kyrgyzstan through the mail, and then sent to Russia for illegal sale.
Earlier, on January 24, the press service of the FSS of the Russian Federation in Rostov region announced the detention of members of an organized criminal group (OCG) on suspicion of kidnapping military personnel and extorting money.
