Five people detained in Sweden in Quran burner murder case


In Sweden, local police detained five people in the case of murder of the organizer of Koran-burning rallies Salvan Momika. This was reported on January 30 by TV channel SVT with reference to law enforcers.
"During the night the police detained five people," - stated in the material.
According to preliminary data, the man was shot in a residential area of Södertälje. It is noted that the investigation of the case continues.
On the same day in Sweden was killed the organizer of actions with the burning of the Koran Salvan Momika, the man died of gunshot wounds.
Earlier, in August last year, the main office of the Swedish Prosecutor's Office opened a case against Salvan Momika and Salvan Najem, who are accused of burning the Koran. According to the investigation, the accused burned the Quran in four places in Stockholm in the summer of 2023.
During the year 2023 in the countries of Europe often recorded cases of burning books of the Koran. Thus, on September 3, another action with burning of the Koran took place in Malmö, Sweden. As a result, both the initiator of the burning of the Holy Scripture of Muslims, 37-year-old Momika, and those trying to stop him were detained.
