Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Defense Ministry, the units of the "West" troop grouping have improved their tactical position. In this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 320 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles, eight field artillery guns, including three produced by NATO countries. In addition, an ammunition depot of the enemy was destroyed.
The units of the Southern Group of Forces have taken more favorable lines and positions. Russian troops in this direction, among other things, destroyed an ammunition depot.
The Russian army also hit the facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, the infrastructure of military airfields, production workshops and storage facilities for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 142 areas.
In addition, air defense assets shot down two Hammer guided aerial bombs, four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, and 61 aircraft-type drones.
A total of 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 41,861 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,892 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,058 field artillery and mortars, and 30,904 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
