Defense Ministry reports 100,000 AFU servicemen who left their units unauthorized

About 100,000 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have unauthorizedly left their military units and gone on the run. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on 30 January.

"Legislative changes prepared under the pressure of Western countries by the Kiev regime to lower the mobilization age from 25 to 18 are the only way for [Ukrainian President, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, Vladimir] Zelensky to delay for a few more months the cascading collapse of the front in Donbass," the ministry said in a Telegram publication.
