The Public Relations Center (PRC) of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) published on Thursday, January 30, a video of a detained man who was carrying out sabotage on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The footage shows FSB officers approaching a car parked near the fence, taking the man out, placing him on the ground and handcuffing him.

The process of interrogation of the detainee is also captured, during which he said that in March 2023 he met a man who introduced himself as an SBU officer. According to him, he was promised assistance in traveling abroad after committing arson. For this purpose, the saboteur had to make fake documents, but the curator of the Ukrainian special service stopped contacting him.

A criminal case under part 2 of article 281 ("Sabotage") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was opened against the defendant. According to the agency, he repented and confessed.

Earlier in the day, the FSB officers detained a resident of Donetsk, who in the interests of the SBU collected and transmitted information about the locations of military equipment and personnel of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) units. On this fact, the investigative department of the FSS of Russia in the DNR initiated a criminal case under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
