The administration of US President Donald Trump has done more in eight days after taking office than former President Joe Biden did in four years. This was reported on January 30 by Vice President James David Vance, whose words are quoted by The Hill.

"I actually believe we accomplished more in eight days than the entire Biden administration did in four years," Vance opined.

According to him, the administration's priorities have been to address the economic and migration crisis. In addition, the challenges of reducing energy costs are being addressed.

He also added that the day before Trump took office, the number of illegal border crossings was about 1,300 cases, but five days after the inauguration, the administration reduced this figure by 60%.

Earlier, on January 27, Customs and Border Protection in the United States was instructed by President Donald Trump's administration to multiply the number of people apprehended for immigration violations from a few hundred per day to at least 1,200 to 1,500 per day.

Before that, on January 24, the media learned about US plans to send thousands of military personnel to protect the border with Mexico. To date, about 2.2 thousand military personnel are already on the border as part of Task Force North in El Paso, Texas.

On January 20, immediately after his inauguration, Trump signed more than 200 new executive orders. Among them, the introduction of the state of emergency on the border with Mexico. In addition, the American president repeatedly stated that he was going to cancel the granting of American citizenship by birthright.
