Rosgvardia special forces shot down Ukrainian drone "Baba Yaga" in Kharkiv region


Special forces of Rosgvardiya have shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Baba-Yaga" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies above Kharkiv region. This was reported by the press service of the agency on Thursday, January 30.
It is noted that the Ukrainian military made an attempt to attack infrastructure facilities of the Belgorod region. However, "Soldiers of special forces "Steel Brigade" of the Rosgvardia, performing service and combat tasks to cover the state border of the Russian Federation, shot down a UAV launched from the territory of Ukraine by an accurate shot of a sniper.
"As a result of the professional actions of the sniper of the "Steel Brigade" of the Rosgvardia, a night attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle of the AFU was prevented", - reported the press service of the agency.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense means (air defense) during the night destroyed five drones of the AFU over Belgorod and Bryansk regions. Three UAVs were over the territory of the Belgorod region and two over the territory of the Bryansk region.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
