US President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing new measures to combat anti-Semitism. The corresponding document was signed on January 29 and published on the website of the White House.

"It shall be the policy of the United States to vigorously combat anti-Semitism, using all available and appropriate legal tools to prosecute, remove or otherwise hold accountable those responsible for unlawful anti-Semitic harassment and violence," the text of the document reads.

Specifically, the document states that since the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attacks against the people of Israel, Jewish students have faced discrimination, denial of access to common areas and campus facilities, including libraries and classrooms, as well as intimidation, harassment, physical threats and assaults.

It is noted that the current executive order is in addition to a previous one passed during the first Trump administration. However, the document was virtually nullified by the administration of former US President Joe Biden.

"The joint report of the House Committees on Education and the Workforce, Energy and Commerce, Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability, Veterans Affairs, and Ways and Means called the federal government's failure to combat anti-Semitism and protect Jewish students "astounding." This failure is unacceptable and must end today," the document reads.

Earlier in the day, Axios reported that Trump, only nine days in office, signed a record 38 executive orders. As noted on January 29, no American leader in the history of the country has not issued so many orders.

Also on that day, Politico reported that Trump's executive orders caused chaos in the U.S. military because top officials at the Pentagon misinterpreted statements about diversity and put a freeze on arms deals. In addition, an official at the U.S. Department of Defense reported that the army is anxious because of the new decrees of the U.S. leader, as well as because of major personnel changes.

Before that, on January 20, it was reported that immediately after the inauguration, Trump signed more than 200 new decrees. Among them - the introduction of a state of emergency on the border with Mexico and the inclusion of drug cartels in the list of terrorist organizations. And Trump also shut down all inclusion programs at the federal level. Now only two genders are recognized in the US - male and female. In addition, the Republican will again withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.
