Su-25 crews launched missile strikes on AFU equipment in the Kursk border area


Attack aviation crews in Su-25 aircraft have carried out missile air strikes against camouflaged armored vehicles and personnel of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border areas of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 30.
It is noted that missile launches were carried out in pairs from low altitudes. At the same time, after the use of air defeat devices, the crews performed a maneuver, releasing heat traps, and then returned to the departure airfield.
In addition, after the combat sorties, engineering and technical staff specialists performed routine maintenance work on the aircraft and prepared the aviation equipment for a second flight.
Earlier, on January 28, Mi-28NM and Ka-52M helicopters escorted by Mi-8PSG destroyed AFU firing points in the border area of Kursk region. As indicated in the Russian Defense Ministry, a group of Mi-28NM and Ka-52M attack helicopters and Mi-8PSG escorts carried out tasks to support the ground group of troops.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
