The vampire orchid Dracula has blossomed in the "Pharmacy Garden" in Moscow. This on Wednesday, January 29, reported in the Telegram-channel of the garden.

You can see the unusual plant in the Palm greenhouse. The flower has another folk name - orchid-monkey. It is specified that in the genus Dracula 118 species, the birthplace of which is Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador.

Some species of these plants are characterized by a blood-red hue - hence the dramatic name, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

At the end of the XIX century, this plant was a popular greenhouse plant in Europe. In the capital's "Aptekarsky gorod" collected the largest collection of Dracula orchids in Russia.

Last summer, rare archidae were spotted in the forests of the Moscow region. Lyubka bilobka and Palchatokorennik Fuchs were found in the Orekhovo-Zuyevsky forestry, notes 360.ru. These are orchids, which are included in the list of rare and vulnerable plants of the region.

On January 20, the press service of the "Aptekarsky Ogorod" reported that the first snowdrops bloomed in the open-air garden.
