A locomotive and a bus traveling without passengers collided at a railroad crossing near the Latyshskaya railway station in Moscow Region. About it on January 29 reports Telegram-channel of the Moscow railroad.

"Today, January 29, at 18:30 near the village of Novaya Olkhovka in Naro-Fominsk urban district of Moscow region, the driver of the bus, which was following without passengers, according to preliminary information, violated traffic rules and drove out on the tracks in front of the approaching shunting locomotive with empty freight cars," - stated in the message.

According to the organization, the locomotive driver applied emergency braking, but due to insufficient distance the collision could not be avoided.

As a result of the accident there are no casualties and derailment of rolling stock. The movement of suburban and passenger trains was not changed.

The press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region in Telegram-channel reported that the traffic police officers are taking measures to establish all the circumstances of the accident.

Earlier, on January 12, the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leningrad region reported that a cab passenger died when the car collided with an electric train at the railway crossing Shcheglovo - Kirpichny Zavod in Vsevolozhsk district. According to the police, the driver of the Geely cab failed to cope with the control and at a prohibited traffic signal drove onto the railroad tracks where a train was passing.
