The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will check the prices of a number of food products. This was reported in the press service of the agency on January 29.

"FAS will analyze the validity of prices for a number of food products. The service has sent requests to producers of mayonnaise, sunflower oil, margarine and food salt", - stated in the message of the service in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that the organizations will have to provide information on the volume of production and sales of products, as well as data on production costs, wholesale prices and profitability of sales.

The agency indicated that in case of identified offenses FAS may take antitrust response measures.

Earlier, January 15, it was reported that the FAS will study the data on the cost of a number of food packaging. FAS requested information on the production and sale of products, production costs, as well as detailed explanations of pricing. The agency will analyze the information received and assess the impact of the cost of packaging on the cost of products for the end consumer.
