One person was injured in the AFU attack on Dzerzhinsk in the DNR

One person was injured as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Dzerzhynsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko on January 29.

"As a consequence of Ukrainian armed aggression, a civilian of the city of Dzerzhinsk of the Gorlovka urban district was wounded," - said in the message of the mayor in Telegram-channel.

The Department of the administration of the head and government of the DNR on the documentation of war crimes of Ukraine in the Telegram-channel specified that the AFU at 13:00 fired two cluster shells of 155 mm caliber at the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka.

"We are pushing the enemy away from Horlivka so that they don't shell civilians."

Earlier, on January 27, four residents of Horlivka DNR suffered in the shelling of the AFU. Pushilin specified that all of them were provided with the necessary medical care. Then it was noted that the AFU made more than 20 attacks with artillery shells of 122 millimeters and 155 millimeters caliber, including cluster type.

Before that, on January 26, military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) reported that three civilians were killed in the DNR last week as a result of the actions of the Ukrainian army. It was specified that residential neighborhoods of Gorlovka, Makeyevka, Yasynuvatovskaya, Volnovakha and Svetlodarsk were subjected to systematic shelling by the Ukrainian army.

The AFU is trying to strike at Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
