Gennady Babaskin was appointed acting deputy governor of Kursk region. This was reported in the press service of the regional government on January 29.

"From January 23, 2025, Gennady Babaskin was appointed acting Deputy Governor of the Kursk region," - stated in the message posted in the Telegram-channel.

The corresponding document was signed by the governor's proxy Alexander Khinshtein.

Prior to that Babaskin held the position of acting Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Kursk region. Andrei Vetrov was appointed acting head of the department.
