Writer Zakhar Prilepin was awarded the medal "Valor and Bravery". This was reported on January 29 in his Telegram-channel.

The award was conferred by personal order of the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin. The medal was presented by the Hero of Russia, Major General Sergei Petrov.

"Russia, as in all times, has only the army, the navy and also the IC as friends, while the front line is everywhere. But we will endure. For the glory of the Fatherland, in memory of the fallen," - said Prilepin at the award ceremony.

Earlier, on December 5, the writer Alexei Varlamov won the literary award "Big Book". The author received the award for the novel "Odsun", which tells the story of a man born in the late 60's.
