Media named the version of DHL airplane crash near Vilnius


The cause of the crash of a DHL airplane near Vilnius in November 2024 is pilot error. This was reported on January 29 by Poratal 15min.lt with reference to sources familiar with the investigation.
"The material leads to the conclusion that it was a human factor, pilot error," the publication said.
According to the portal, preliminary versions about external impact or malfunction of the airborne equipment were not confirmed. Also the reduction of the time of rest of pilots between flights affected the crash.
DHL plane crashed in Vilnius on November 25, 2024. It went down near a two-story apartment building at 06:31 Moscow time. There were four people on board - two pilots and two employees, one of them died. There was a fire at the crash site, 12 people were evacuated from the house.
Later it turned out that before landing the crew requested from the dispatcher of the capital's airport information about weather conditions.
