The media claimed a record number of executive orders signed by Trump

US President Donald Trump, being only nine days in office, has signed a record number of executive orders - 38 documents. As Axios portal noted on January 29, no American leader in the history of the country has ever issued so many orders.
According to the media, only Presidents Joe Biden and Harry Truman issued more than 40 executive orders during their first 100 days in the White House.
The incoming leader is now looking to revamp his administration to expand presidential powers. And the flurry of executive orders he has issued can be described as a "Shock and Awe Doctrine-style campaign," Axios adds.
Earlier on Jan. 29, Politico reported that Trump's executive orders have caused chaos in the U.S. military because top officials at the Pentagon misinterpreted diversity statements and put a freeze on arms deals. In addition, a U.S. Defense Department official said the army is anxious because of new executive orders issued by the U.S. leader, as well as major personnel changes.
Meanwhile, before that, on January 20, it was reported that immediately after the inauguration, Trump signed more than 200 new decrees. Among them, the introduction of a state of emergency on the border with Mexico and the inclusion of drug cartels in the list of terrorist organizations. And Trump also shut down all inclusion programs at the federal level. Now only two genders are recognized in the U.S. - male and female. In addition, the Republican will again withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.
