Motorcycle sales in Russia set a new record in 2024

At the end of 2024, 43 thousand new motorcycles were sold in Russia, which is 58% more than a year earlier. This result became a record for the entire history of the Russian market, according to the analytical agency Avtostat on January 29. The previous record was 30.2 thousand units and held since 2014.

According to analysts, motorcycle sales in Russia grew for 22 consecutive months in a range from 23% to 89%. This is explained by the appearance on the market of many brands from China to replace the departed ones, as well as the lower cost of motorcycles from the PRC.

In the brand ranking, Regulmoto was the sales leader with 7,500 units (+99%). It is followed by Racer (4.6 thousand units; +46%), Motoland (4.1 thousand units; +69%), Bajaj (3 thousand units; +5%) and Voge (2.7 thousand units; +112%). Kayo, Shineray and Honda also exceeded the 1,000 mark. Among the models, the best-sellers were Racer RC300, Regulmoto Sport, Racer RC250, Motoland XL250 and Motoland XF300.

January 25, it was reported that in 2024, the average price of a new motorcycle in Russia amounted to 210 thousand rubles. According to analysts, last year the number of ads for new motorcycles year-on-year increased by 2.5 times, and interest - by 55.1%. The total number of ads for the sale of bikes on the platform increased almost one and a half times, by 46.6%.

January 23, it became known that in Russia at the end of 2024, the most popular motorcycle with mileage became "IZH Planeta-5". The number of ads for the sale of motorcycles with mileage year-on-year increased by 30.4%, and interest in them - by 12.8%. The average price of a bike with mileage in 2024 amounted to Br183 thousand.
