Patrushev and the President of Algeria discussed cooperation in economy and finance


Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held talks with Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebbun. This is reported on Wednesday, January 29, on the website of the Russian government.
"We highly appreciate the strategic nature of relations between our countries. This is evidenced, among other things, by the proximity of positions on most items on the international and regional agenda. And we are determined to maintain close coordination between our countries," Patrushev said.
The meeting discussed cooperation in such areas as finance, banking, industry, energy and agriculture.
Within the framework of the working visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Russian-Algerian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will be held.
Earlier, on December 20, 2024, during his working trip to Algeria, Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation in the Middle East with the country's leader Abdelmajid Tebboun and Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf.
