Tourists have become more interested in renting apartments in Russia

Travelers' demand for apartment rentals in Russia in 2024 has grown by 70% over the year, while bookings for business trips have almost doubled. This is stated in the research results of Bronevik.com platform (part of the MTS ecosystem) and RealtyCalenda service, which were reviewed by Izvestia on January 30.
Travelers rented the most apartments for accommodation in regional capitals - Moscow (18% of all bookings in Russia), St. Petersburg (9%), Kazan and Krasnodar (4% each). However, the leader in terms of growth rates last year was the village of Sirius (Krasnodar region), where the number of bookings for the year increased almost fourfold. In second place - Ivanovo (+230%), in third place - Magnitogorsk (+210%).
The average cost of accommodation in apartments in 2024 amounted to 3200 rubles per night. The most expensive rent cost tourists in popular resort locations. Accommodation in Sirius village cost an average of 6,700 rubles per night, in Zelenogradsk (Kaliningrad region) and Miass (Chelyabinsk region) - 6,600 rubles, in Gelendzhik - 5,500 rubles, in Sochi - 5,100 rubles.
"We see that the demand for daily rent of apartments and apartments is growing year by year. This is due to their accessibility and convenience for large families, car travelers and guests with animals, a wide geography of accommodation - from the center to areas near the objects that are the purpose of the trip, as well as the possibility of contactless check-in. We expect that the trend will continue this year," said Ilya Formalsky, co-founder of RealtyCalendar service.
Experts told about the growing demand for renting apartments for business trips - last year the number of business bookings almost doubled (+91%). The average check in them is comparable to the prices for private travelers (3300 rubles per night, +14% year-on-year).
The top cities in terms of business bookings are headed by Moscow (11% of all bookings in Russia). Yekaterinburg is in second place (5%), and St. Petersburg is in third place (4%). The highest prices are recorded in Norilsk (average 5200 rubles per night) and Vladivostok (5100 rubles), Sochi (5000 rubles).
"The demand for apartments among business travelers is growing every year. First of all, because of the increase in the average check in hotels, especially in popular tourist locations. When the cost of hotel accommodation no longer fits into corporate travel budgets, companies are increasingly choosing daily rental properties. This is more comfortable for business travelers than downgrading the hotel category. In addition, due to the intensive growth of domestic tourism in hotels may simply not be available in the right location at the right time, and the lack of rooms are compensated by apartments", - explained the executive director of Bronevik.com Marina Goncharenko.
Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that more tourists plan to travel across the country in February. This follows from the data of OneTwoTrip. Thus, the share of hotel bookings in Russia for the year increased by 8% and is 43%. Moscow, Esto-Sadok, St. Petersburg became the most popular cities for tourists.
