The husband of blogger Lena Miro (Elena Mironenko) American photographer Richard Pryde Hughes commented on her death for the first time on January 29.

"Elena Mironenko. June 24, 1981 - April 20, 2024. Thank you for every second we spent together. You brought more joy, meaning and love into my life than I could ever imagine. <...> I would have given anything to save you - even my own life. I couldn't save you. I tried very, very hard, my dear," he wrote on the social network Instagram (owned by Meta, an organization recognized as extremist in Russia).

This is the first official statement confirming the blogger's death. The husband of the deceased did not provide any details about the reasons for the incident.

Izvestia also has at its disposal an extract from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIP), which was amended on January 24, 2025 in connection with Miro's death. The date of termination of her activity as an individual entrepreneur is April 20, 2024.

Blogger Elena Mironenko, known under the pseudonym Lena Miro, was born in 1981 in the town of Stary Oskol, Belgorod region. In Russia she was educated as a translator-synchronist, in the early 2000s, according to Miro herself, the blogger studied at Cambridge and lived in the UK for a while.

After some time, the woman returned to Russia, where she published several books. In 2010, Miro created her own blog in LiveJournal under the nickname miss tramell, where she published provocative posts on various topics, including show business. A few years before the pandemic, the blogger moved to the United States.

In the spring of 2024, the media and social networks reported about Miro's death as a result of a traffic accident in the United States. There was no official confirmation of her death for a long time.
