Frost up to -42 degrees Celsius predicted in Irkutsk region

According to forecasts, the night temperature on January 30 will be -27...-32 degrees, in some areas the temperature may drop to -37...-42 degrees. Wind speed will be 2-7 m/s. In some places a light snow is possible.

In the daytime hours it is expected -15...-20 degrees, in some places it is possible to get cold to -30 degrees. In the mountains of Nizhneudinsk district will warm up to -9...-14 degrees.

Earlier forecasters predicted wind strengthening in Primorye, Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands in the coming days up to 27 m/s. In some places visibility may deteriorate due to snowstorms. At the same time, relatively high air temperature is expected.
