27 tons of donor blood have been collected in Ugra

Ugra residents have procured 27 tons of blood in 2024. More than 7 thousand people became donors on a gratuitous basis, the press service of the District Transfusion Station reported on Wednesday, January 29.

The greatest activity was shown by donors from Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk and their administrative districts. Many of them repeatedly came to donate blood and its components. Another 1370 people did it for the first time.

According to the information of IA "Ura.ru", due to the large volumes, 100% of requests for blood transfusion were fulfilled. In addition, Ugra is now 100% stocked with blood components. This amount is enough to provide all hospitals in the district.

Earlier the doctor told "Izvestia" about the existence of different systems of classification of blood groups. At the moment, medicine knows 44 with different proteins, by which blood can differ.
