Iran has not received clear signals from the United States about the resumption of negotiations on the nuclear deal. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on January 29.

"No clear signal has been sent or received from the US government. <...> At the moment there is no decision on (the resumption. - Ed.) of negotiations," the RIA Novosti news agency reports the minister's words.

Earlier, on December 27 last year, Vladimir Sazhin, a senior researcher at the Center for the Study of the Near and Middle East at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said that relations between the United States and Iran have never been good, but after the inauguration of President Donald Trump they may worsen.

The expert emphasized that it is almost impossible to restore the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regulating the nuclear issue, against which background new agreements are needed.
