Magnitogorsk airport CEO sentenced to two years for embezzlement


The court in Bashkiria found the general director of "Magnitogorsk Airport" Evgeny Kirsanov guilty of embezzlement and sentenced him to two years in prison. This was reported on January 29 by the joint press service of the courts of the Republic in Telegram.
It is specified that Kirsanov unreasonably wrote bonuses to himself, and his wife flew business class at the expense of the airport. The total damage exceeded 2 million rubles.
"The court, taking into account mitigating circumstances, found Evgeny Kirsanov guilty of committing crimes under part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 3 of article 160 of the Criminal Code (4 episodes) and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment with serving his sentence in a colony of general regime", - specified in the press service.
The defendant was also deprived of the right to engage in organizational-administrative and administrative-economic activities in commercial organizations for two years. Kirsanov admitted guilt in part.
Earlier, on January 18, it was reported about the detention of the deputy head of the urban district of Ruza on suspicion of corrupt activities. The official is suspected of large-scale bribery (p. "c" part 5, article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
