The Prosecutor's Office demanded to initiate criminal proceedings against blogger Markarian

The prosecutor's office asked to initiate a criminal case against blogger Arsen Markarian after his public statements calling for terrorist activities in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, January 29.

The agency found a video on the web with a blogger who publicly called for terrorist activities in Russia and against its citizens, using drones.

It is specified that such calls Markarian quoted more than once.

"The materials of the prosecutor's audit have been sent to the investigative body to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution of A. Markarian under part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for the realization of terrorist activity"). The results of the consideration are under control," reads the message in the Telegram-channel of the department.

Earlier, on January 10, blogger and mathematician Mikhail Verbitsky was put on the list of terrorists and extremists. Later he was put on the wanted list. It was specified that he was wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. No details were given.
