A train dedicated to the Chinese New Year has been launched in Moscow


A train dedicated to the Chinese New Year has been launched in the Moscow subway. Images appeared on January 29 at the disposal of "Izvestia".
It is specified that the thematic public transport will run along the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the capital's subway for a month.
The train is decorated in red colors, and on both sides of its length depicts a golden dragon. The front side of the head car is decorated with the flags of Russia and China. A bear and a panda are depicted on the sides.
The train launch ceremony was attended by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transportation and Industry Maxim Liksutov, as well as Chinese Ambassador to the capital Zhang Hanhui.
"This is a project not only of one country, it is a joint project, it goes in the development of a very rich program, which was approved by our countries, on the exchange of cultures and various events within the framework of cross cultural years, which continue in the period of 2024-2025," Zakharova said.
The ambassador added that he was pleased to see such an original approach to celebrating the New Year.
TheChinese New Year traditionally comes in the middle of winter. The date of the holiday changes, as well as its symbol - the zodiacal animal, under the patronage of which the year passes.
Russians celebrate the Chinese New Year with pleasure. Last year, the celebration was held in the Russian capital with great fanfare. It was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This year, residents and guests of the city will again enjoy a rich program, during which it will be possible to taste Chinese cuisine and get acquainted with the bright traditions of a friendly country.
